DETROIT — 'Tis the season for sneak peeks.
Chevrolet on Monday took some of the wraps off its 2008 Malibu, preceding its formal unveiling at the upcoming North American International Auto Show, with an on-sale date slated for summer 2007.
The photo shows off a dual-port grille on the new Malibu that GM says represents "the new face of Chevrolet." The car has a 6-inch-longer wheelbase than the current model, with a more upscale look. The car will be offered in four-cylinder or six-cylinder variants and come in front-wheel-drive configuration only.
GM said it will invest $208 million in its Fairfax, Kansas, plant to prepare for Malibu production.
