Nissan Versa Sedan Priced at $13,165

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nissan said the latest variant in the 2007 Versa lineup — a sedan — will range from $13,165, including a $615 destination charge for its base 1.8 S model to $16,165 for the top-of-the-line Versa 1.8 SL.

2007 Nissan Versa SedanThe Versa sedan has a standard 122-horsepower 1.8-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine and a six-speed manual transmission. The Versa 1.8 SL adds a continuously variable transmission, 15-inch aluminum alloy wheels, in-dash six-disc CD changer, remote keyless entry, cruise control and 60/40-split-folding rear seat. Pricing for the base model is identical to pricing for the Versa hatchback, the company noted.

Options for the Versa sedan include a $600 sunroof, $250 antilock brakes and $300 for XM Satellite or Sirius Satellite radio.

Nissan said dealer inventory for the Versa is running at around a 15-day supply or less. It said it will add additional Versa production at its Cuernavaca, Mexico plant in January to catch up with demand for the small car. The Versa, one of the newest, fuel-efficient small cars on the market returns 30 mpg in city driving and 36 mpg on the highway.
