DETROIT — Cadillac rolled out the BLS Sport this week, a tweaked version of the GM luxury brand's European sedan set to go on sale overseas this month.
The BLS Sport adds 18-inch wheels and a lowered sports suspension, as well as chassis tuning that improves handling. Wood trim is deleted in the cabin in favor of aluminum, and the instrumentation features white numerals and red needles on a black background. Standard items include a three-spoke leather steering wheel and an analog clock. Leather seating is optional.
The BLS Sport powertrains include a common-rail turbodiesel that makes 150 horsepower. Other engine choices include a 255-hp 2.8-liter V6, as well as two 2.0-liter turbocharged engines that deliver 175 hp and 210 hp. All engines come with the choice of a six-speed manual or automatic with sport mode.
